The Creative Media Producer plays a critical role in visually telling the university’s story through compelling photography and video content. This individual is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality, dynamic imagery and video in both short and long-form formats, tailored for use across digital, print, broadcast, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a strong artistic eye, a keen sense of visual storytelling, and mastery of both vertical and horizontal formats to optimize content across multiple channels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in photography, film, multimedia production, visual arts, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in photography and videography, preferably in a marketing, higher education, or creative agency environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects) or similar editing software.
- Demonstrated experience producing content for a range of platforms, including web, social, and broadcast.
- Strong portfolio showcasing both artistic photography and narrative videography with clean, compelling editing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and respond effectively to feedback.
- Experience creating content in both vertical and horizontal formats with an understanding of optimal use across platforms.
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Experience in higher education marketing or institutional storytelling.
- Drone operation certification and experience with aerial photography/videography.
- Motion graphics and animation skills are a plus.
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility
Work Hours
40 hours per week
Standard office hours with some evening and weekend work
List any hazardous conditions or physical demands required by this position
- Ability to lift and transport camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event coverage.
