Bachelor's degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred) EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in audio product development and acoustic engineering Experience with audio DSP algorithm development and implementation Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar technical computing languages Experience with room acoustics and architectural acoustics Experience with audio coding standards and wireless audio technologies SKILLS
Strong understanding of acoustic principles, psychoacoustics, and audio signal processing Proficiency in acoustic measurement techniques and analysis tools (MLSSA, SAT, etc.) Knowledge of industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ITU) related to audio and acoustics Skilled in using acoustic measurement equipment and analysis software Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong documentation and technical writing abilities Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to acoustic components Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time audio processing Acoustic measurement systems (B&K, HEAD acoustics, Audio Precision) Audio analysis software (EASE, COMSOL, SoundCheck) DSP development tools and frameworks (Matlab, Simulink) CAD software for acoustic modeling Version control systems (Git) Statistical analysis and data visualization Audio production and editing software WHAT WE OFFER Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents Unlimited PTO Generous parental leave Work from home stipend Commuter benefit Flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setting (based on location) 15 paid holidays Owl Labs is a hybrid company, we are over 40% remote, and our headquarters is based in Boston, MA.
