Job Description
The Media Planner is responsible for developing media plans with a focus on execution and management to meet client requirements and objectives. You will build strong relationships with clients and vendors, providing excellent support. This position reports directly to, and works closely with, the Media Planning Director.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage daily tasks supporting media products, such as authorizations, data entry into media accounting software (MediaBank), collecting proof of performance documents, and reconciling invoices.
- Help establish media strategies and success metrics for advertising campaigns.
- Gather statistics and prepare media plans under the direction of the Planning Director.
- Analyze demographic data and consumer profiles to identify target audiences for multi-media campaigns.
- Collaborate with media representatives to evaluate and ensure flawless plan execution.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, marketing strategies, and long-range media plans.
- Participate in the creation and adjustments of client media plans.
- Develop competence with media research tools to analyze market trends and forecast conditions and opportunities.
- Understand the client's business, objectives, and goals thoroughly.
- Work with internal teams on campaign reporting.
- Stay updated on media trends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-3+ years of media planning experience.
- Experience in advertising, creative strategy, qualitative research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highly organized with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, identify problems, gather information, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
