Key job responsibilities
Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security. Evolve software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables. Write high-quality distributed system software. About the team The Media Supply Chain Distribution team owns the distribution system domain that distributes Amazon MGM Studios movies and tv series to over 1000 post production vendors and streaming platforms, such as Prime Video and Freevee, across the globe. This role will support the buildout and maintenance of the Distribution pillar that provides planning capability to manage distribution schedule, transcoding and packaging automation to create media packages, and streaming and transfer capability to deliver packaged assets to streaming platforms and vendors. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 1+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
