Overview
Take 911 calls.Dispatch Police/Fire/Ambulance.Post ambulances accordingly.Update information in CAD.Take non-emergency transfers.Staff any long distance transfers.Notify DEM and officers of large events.Work with surrounding agencies.Assist Captains with emergency staffing issues.Keep track of fleet.Clean Dispatch daily.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge to operate computer aided dispatch 9-1-1 systems. Receive emergency service calls from the public requesting law enforcement, for ambulance or other emergency service

EducationState Certified High School diploma or GEDRequirements:Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s LicensePrefer

Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening.
Possession of a Medical Marijuana license will

excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for Marijuana.
Required Testing:
pass a typing test with minimum 30 wpm.pass 10-key at 70%Written exam covering:
Reading, Listening, Problem Solving/Prioritizing, and Multi-tasking with combined minimum score of 70%
