The Law Office of Stephanie Adams, PLLC, a law office serving libraries and other important public institutions throughout New York State, seeks a Library Law Paralegal to start in June 2025. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week).
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the concepts of First Amendment and other civil rights law, and will also be interested in how contracts, insurance, risk, and liability impact libraries, creative professionals, leaders, and academics.
The LOSA Library Law Paralegal will assist with client intake, file organization, research, database development, training material preparation, and providing expedited responses for clients. The candidate should be self-directed, creative, a problem-solver, and a team player.
Salary range: $22--$26/hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications include excellent communication skills, research experience, proficiency with presentation tools, business correspondence ability, database organization skills, and confidentiality maintenance. Library experience or a relevant degree is preferred but not mandatory; non-traditional experience will also be considered. Attorneys are encouraged to apply (we are open to adjusting the title).
Work environment: Our collaborative office in Buffalo requires team members to work at least four days a week. The office is ADA accessible and located on the first floor.
