INSTRUCTION & OUTREACH LIBRARIAN
Department: Library
Employment Details: Tenure Track, Full-Time, Fiscal Year

DUTIES:
- Develop, coordinate, promote, and provide library instruction services.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.
- Develop instructional materials and introduce students to the library through informal and formal sessions.
- Provide outreach to campus and public communities.
- Work with library staff and other librarians to provide reference services.
- Serve as liaison to academic departments.
- Provide service at the library’s information desk, including evenings and weekends.
- Create an environment of understanding and respect among library personnel.
- Maintain a record of librarianship, publication, and service activities.
Newly degreed librarians are encouraged to apply.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- American Library Association-accredited master’s degree.
- Experience with teaching, information literacy, critical thinking, and library instruction techniques.
- Ability to learn and teach new technologies.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, departments, and community stakeholders.
- Commitment to teamwork and respectful collaboration among library personnel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience promoting or marketing library resources and services.
- Experience creating instructional materials and library guides.
- Experience working in an academic library.
