Role Summary :
Deerfield Account Supervisors are the critical component to the success of the Client Services team and the overall health of our client accounts - developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and serving as the clients’ trusted partner to effectively manage and grow their account. Account Supervisors must possess strong critical thinking skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a demonstrated ability to identify innovative solutions. Considered candidates have demonstrated traits of being an entrepreneurial self-starter, solution-oriented, and possess a high level of attention to detail. Responsibilities :
- Independently manages a variety of project types with minimal oversight and a level of expertise where strategic solutions/recommendations are regularly being offered; effectively manages multiple client relationships spanning a variety of disease categories/brands
- Deeply understands and applies brand insights, customer segmentation, and target needs to scoped projects; identifies opportunities for potential organic growth within assigned clients
- Consistently serves as the primary day-to-day liaison between the client and the agency; promptly addresses client inquiries while fostering trust, credibility, and mutual respect
- Provides strategic direction and oversight for the team(s) in terms of brand planning and client relationship management
- Effectively collaborates with the client and their other partners to develop tactics in a fast-paced environment
- Creates effective and well-constructed, client-ready written communications; effectively creates and delivers presentations that communicate with impact and influence; communicates with confidence and demonstrates a clear grasp and knowledge of the subject matter; owns client communications with little to no oversight
- Guides and sets appropriate expectations and timelines with the clients and meets or exceeds those expectations; regularly makes recommendations and proactively advises clients in what needs to be done; anticipates client needs and challenges, and identifies creative solutions
- Develops budgets and SOWs; supports Account Director/VP in the invoicing process with finance
- Finds creative solutions and negotiates project approach and timelines with internal stakeholders
- Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) submissions and participation - submit materials per the client’s requirements and effectively participate in the MLR reviews as needed
- Demonstrates leadership by coaching and guiding junior team members – is a resource for peers; effectively leverages team resources, managing priorities and delegating work across the team
Knowledge & Skills :
- 4 - 7 years of agency account management experience, with at least 2 years of pharmaceutical advertising experience in both HCP and patient campaigns
- Experience managing tactic development ranging from printed materials (e.g., brochures, conference materials, etc.) to digital materials (e.g., emails, animated banner ads, websites, etc.)
- Strong client relationship/management experience – finds in-person client work engaging and productive; thrives on working with clients in a live setting
- Experience developing, producing, and leading multi-channel marketing solutions
- Skilled in managing budgets and developing project estimates
- Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) submission experience, including proper submission of jobs in the client’s MLR review system (e.g., Veeva Vault PromoMats)
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to ask insightful questions to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and provide effective leadership; skilled at reading interpersonal cues and adapting communication to meet specific needs; demonstrates sound judgment in anticipating and overcoming challenges
- Highly organized and detailed-oriented when executing work and prioritizing workload and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of CRM, database management, analytics, website development and updates
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite; proficiency in developing and delivering presentations in PowerPoint
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a team-oriented environment by supporting fellow team members in achieving both client and agency objectives, as well as independently
- Ability to travel on as-needed basis
