Scotiabank’s strong U.S. presence provides our clients an important bridge to this key global market for trade and investment flows across the Americas and the world.Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients.Purpose:As the Senior Manager - New York, Global Trader Voice Communications, you will provide thought leadership to a regional team of high-performance IT professionals and subject matter experts for all Data and Trader Voice technologies-related activities. You will have global accountability of voice recording technology within GTS for all business partners working in collaboration with HR, Compliance, Legal, and other IT Groups. Reporting to Director, Global Operations, Global Trader Communications, Archive and Surveillance Platform Management • GTS-GBM Voice Services. When required, there might be travel outside of the New York Metro Area. In this role, you must be fine with 24/7 on-call to support your staff after hours to assist with problem resolution and ensure systems are validated and operational.What You’ll Do:Lead the development and implementation of a new operating model to address voice preservation within Global operating centers; and in particular Capital Markets, Sales and Trading environments.Drive the direction of the team and meet Data and Voice technologies objectives.Collaborate with the business, along with the technical and operational groups across the Bank to ensure alignment of technical solutions to the business strategy.Manage the workflow associated with producing voice recordings and evidence for standard and complex global requests.Participate with and engage bank executives in voice-related agendas.Maintain a global operating model, ensuring data integrity, and responding effectively while engaging with HR, eDiscovery, and Legal on managing discovery requests for IT.Work with the Regulatory Business Initiatives group, Internal Controls Group, SI&D Service Management leads, and Vendors to define the scope, intake, and building of integrations with various communication platforms.Work with vendors and internal partners to get appropriate reviews and approvals for the solutions being developed.What You’ll Bring:Strong communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English.
