The Design Shop is a comprehensive Architecture and Design firm specializing in high end single family residences. Our services include architecture with permit-ready construction drawings, interiors, furnishings and decor. We also offer interior design services with detailed design boards, finish schedules, and interior elevation drawings. Additionally, we provide furnishing and styling solutions, covering space planning, customized furniture selection, and product procurement. Our aim is to streamline the design-build process for our clients.

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Studio Lead Senior Residential Architect, located in Dallas, TX. The role involves overseeing architectural design projects, managing project timelines, and ensuring integration of various design elements. Daily tasks will include producing architectural drawings, r eview drawings for accuracy, detail, and alignment with design intent, oversee and assign drafting tasks, and supervising the design team to maintain project quality and coherence.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design (preferably 8 to 12 years of experience in high-end residential architecture.)
• Translates the creative vision into actionable plan
• Manage all phases of project delivery
• Interpret and execute the Creative Lead’s design vision
• Troubleshoot design or technical issues
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Ensure timely progress of documentation and milestone deadlines
• Monitor hours, productivity, and team bandwidth.
• Provide mentorship and training to drafters
• Coordinate with consultants and builders for integration and constructability
• A degree in Architecture or related field
• Licensure as an Architect is preferred
• Experience with new build and remodel residential design projects is advantageous
