Overview
Lead and manage all phases of dam removal and stream restoration projects, including assessment, planning, permitting, design, construction, and post-removal monitoring. Apply advanced knowledge of stream and restoration techniques to design and implement projects that restore natural hydrology, improve water quality, and enhance habitat connectivity. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Provide technical guidance on sediment transport, geomorphic assessments, and ecological monitoring related to dam removal and stream restoration. Oversee the work of others and manage small to complex projects. Prepare project proposals and budgets, lead business development initiatives, serve as a technical resource, review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports. Supervise junior staff as needed, maintaining workload balance. Solve day-to-day project problems independently, manage client interactions, maintain a client database, and participate in business development and marketing events. Physical Demands: Activities may include climbing, working indoors and outdoors, and wearing PPE. What We're Looking For
Qualifications Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields. 10+ years of experience in dam removal and stream restoration projects, with a proven track record in project and people management. Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) license is advantageous. Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes. Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, applications, and test methods. Ability to develop and manage client relationships. Experience in delegating tasks and managing multiple projects independently. Who We Are
