An exciting job opportunity for an Event Marketing Manager in the corporate events and manufacturing industry is based in Southfield, Michigan. The role involves leading a team of marketing specialists to develop and execute strategic marketing plans around corporate Events and trade shows, build brand awareness about the events, and support our organization's leadership role in the manufacturing industry. The Event Marketing Manager role requires candidates with 7+ years of experience in leading a marketing team, creating strategy around event promotions and event marketing, and campaign planning and execution. This is not an Event Manager role, but more of an Event Marketing role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of marketing specialists to develop and implement strategic marketing plans focused on promoting events.
- Collaborate with internal clients to establish marketing goals and objectives, identify target audiences, and determine key performance indicators.
- Manage resources and annual budgets to ensure maximum return on marketing investment.
- Translate business goals into successful marketing campaigns and oversee their implementation from ideation to execution.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and cross-channel communication to promote events and trade shows
- Lead research efforts to gain insights into the viability and application of new marketing strategies focused on events.
- Analyze data to evaluate the success of marketing efforts and generate new ideas to improve awareness within the industry.
- Identify opportunities for applying new technologies, products, and services to offline and online channels.
- Build strategic relationships and partnerships with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
- Work with the Marketing Team to produce valuable and engaging content that attracts and converts audience targets.
- Monitor, measure, and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, seeking feedback and input to enhance marketing efforts.

Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a marketing role
- 3-5+ years of experience in leadership / management role overseeing marketing professionals
- Demonstrated proficiency in CRM, Facebook Insights, and Google Analytics
- Must have experience in campaign planning, event marketing, and event promotion, including tradeshows
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful marketing / advertisement campaigns focused on events
- Strong understanding of budget processes, including budget management and allocations
- Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in managing a team
Strong analytical skills, particularly in marketing analytics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work in Southfield onsite daily, and travel as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant marketing software.
