Hourly rate: $21.63 - $24.00

This position is responsible for providing information and educational resources to Family Members, providing referrals to community resources, staffing a full-time Family Resource Center, and representing the program at various community meetings.

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

1. Provide information and educational resources to Family Members and facilitate referrals to community resources.
2. Host Parent and Youth Support groups.
3. Assist families and the community in understanding the scope and services of the program.
4. Ensure youth and family voice and choice are incorporated into service delivery.
5. Familiarize with systemic issues affecting individuals and families; monitor safety concerns.
6. Develop proactive approaches to crisis patterns and address problems early.
7. Utilize knowledge of child-serving systems (e.g., DCF, DYS, DMH, EEC), IEP and special education info, CRA/Juvenile court issues.
8. Develop and manage the FRC calendar.
9. Recruit and support volunteers to lead support groups as needed.
10. Complete progress notes and maintain organized records in electronic systems.
11. Follow all team and agency policies and procedures.
12. Attend conferences, meetings, supervisions, and trainings.
13. Present cases for review within team and utilization review settings.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in human services and six months of experience working with the target population or navigating child and family systems; or an Associate’s degree with one year of relevant experience; or a high school diploma/GED with at least one year of experience.
2. Be an active team member of the Family Resource Center.
3. Align with the FRC mission to provide community-based, culturally competent programs, including parent education, support groups, early childhood services, and specialized services for Children Requiring Assistance.
4. Develop positive relationships with individuals and families served.
5. Maintain appropriate boundaries and demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and cultural awareness.
6. Work effectively as part of a team and independently, articulating progress and risks clearly.
7. Build relationships with community resources and providers.
8. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
9. Exhibit cultural sensitivity and self-awareness in practice.
10. Lived experience with mental health systems is beneficial.
11. Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
12. Be willing to travel within the community and have access to a personal cell phone.
13. Obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
