Job Summary/Description:
KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic MMJ/Anchor to join our news team. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, passionate about storytelling, and an effective communicator. Responsibilities include generating story ideas, conducting interviews, shooting and editing stories, and writing for broadcast and digital platforms. The role also involves maintaining social media accounts, assisting producers, and anchoring at least one 30-minute newscast per weekday.
Please note: primary duties include the responsibilities listed above.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong live reporting skills and motivation by breaking news.
- Proficiency across digital platforms and ability to meet social media goals.
- Experience in shooting and editing stories; college degree in journalism or related field.
- Valid driver's license and MVR check required.
