Role name: Audio Video Technician

Role Description:

1. Checking all conference rooms on a regular basis
2. Testing all aspects of room equipment
3. Confirming hardware power status
4. Checking battery levels on items like remotes
5. Confirming correct functionality of all audio and video features
6. Troubleshooting technical issues
7. Working with vendors as needed to resolve issues
8. Ensuring rooms are in good looking order
9. Working with facilities to remedy any physical needs of the space
10. Utilizing monitoring solutions to quickly identify and respond to issues
11. Assisting users with immediate room issues or needs
12. Troubleshooting active problems in person
13. AV Training:
1. Holding regular training sessions with the site
2. Usage of the equipment
3. Best practices
4. General AV support questions
14. Tracking and responding to ServiceNow work requests
15. Working with the greater AV group on implementing changes to the AV environment at your local site
16. Serving as the point person for all AV needs your site has
17. Special Projects: working with other team members or manager on AV oriented projects

Competencies: Front Systems (AV & VC)

Experience (Years): 4-6

2. Passion for working with end users
3. Excellent speaking skills
4. Great organization skills
5. Exceptional in high pressure situations
6. AV experience specific to conference rooms of all types (TVs and Projectors, microphones and speakers, VC equipment, automation and integration equipment such as Crestron)
7. Cisco and MTR devices
8. Basic PC troubleshooting skills in a corporate environment
9. Highly self-motivated and able to work primarily independently, as well as with a group on larger team projects and issues

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Outlook, Teams
2. Monitoring software a plus (Microsoft Pro Portal, Cisco, Logitech Portal)
3. Proficient with Microsoft Teams
4. Working knowledge of Zoom meetings
5. Knowledge of AV in large environments
6. Knowledge of Webcams, headsets, and speaker/puck audio
7. Dedicated AV experience or primary function
