As a Staff User Researcher, you will be a driving force behind our commitment to deliver exceptional user experiences. In this pivotal role, you will balance conducting detailed, hands-on micro-research and usability evaluations to uncover user insights, while also leading strategic user research initiatives that shape product vision. You will be an independent and proactive leader within your product team. Key Responsibilities
User Research Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement research strategies aligned with organizational goals and product roadmaps. Conduct micro-level usability research to identify intricate customer problems and perspectives. Lead cross-functional research across multiple products or platforms to ensure a coherent user experience. Product Vision:
Collaborate with leadership and product teams to craft long-term product missions and tactical plans, ensuring alignment with end-user needs. Advocate for human-centric design approaches, fostering a culture that prioritizes customer understanding and addresses diverse user needs. Collaborator Engagement and Influence:
Build strong relationships across teams, including executive leadership. Influence decision-making by ensuring user insights are incorporated into strategic planning. Mentor and oversee teams of designers, product managers, and engineers conducting user research. Storytelling and Communication Mastery:
Create compelling narratives using video, data visualization, personas, and journey maps to communicate research findings. Possess excellent presentation and communication skills to inspire teams to adopt user-centric development. Qualifications
Proven experience in leading user research initiatives and influencing product outcomes. Expertise in mixed methodologies including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and data analysis. Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences. Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing research teams. Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across teams. Nice-to-Haves
Experience translating user insights into strategic product recommendations within creative software. Skills in data analysis and quantitative research methods. Understanding of creative workflows and processes. Expertise in AI technologies and their impact on user experience. Knowledge of Adobe’s creative products and workflows. Advanced degree in HCI, Psychology, Design, or related fields. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of user experiences at Adobe. Our compensation reflects labor costs across markets, with a range of $132,400 to $250,900 annually. Specific salaries depend on location, experience, and skills. Your recruiter will provide details during hiring. For sales roles, salaries include base and commission; for non-sales roles, they include base salary and incentives. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentives such as equity awards.
