Design Technician - 1st Shift - Mills River - Up to $25+ DOE
PrideStaff is recruiting a Design Technician on 1st Shift for a Textile Manufacturing company in Mills River

Hours of Work: 1st Shift - Mon-Thurs 6a-4:30p
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
PrideStaff is recruiting a Design Technician on 1st Shift for a Textile Manufacturing company in Mills River
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce high-fidelity drawings and/or prototypes, BOMs, and Work Instructions for new and existing (as required), product and processes.
- Complete research and develop the proposed concept design for various product including, but not limited to, soft goods, hardware, fixtures and templates considering all variables and constraints.
- Conduct the preliminary design review verifying the capability of the design to meet all requirements in a cost-effective manner.
- Develop the final design approach, create the BOM and assist in the development of work Instructions and other documentation as needed for release to the manufacturing function.
- Work to identify and address any issues resulting from prototype builds, PCA's, etc.
- Provide technical support for non-conformance issues, assistant in investigation of problem areas for continuous improvement, as needed.
- Lead product testing and evaluation and complete any required reporting for internal and/or external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Intermediate to Advanced CAD/SolidWorks knowledge
- Working knowledge of mathematical fundamentals
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of engineering materials
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical trouble shooting skills
