Summary: AS AN AUTHORIZATION ASSISTANT, you will be responsible for obtaining all authorizations of outpatient testing. You will schedule the outpatient testing with the outpatient scheduling department and informs the patient of the appointment and any instructions for testing.
Other information: QUALIFICATIONS: -High School Diploma or equivalent -Prior experience in a physician office practice, Preferred -OR completion of a medical assistant program with 2 years hands on experience performing clinical duties, Preferred -Prior administrative office procedures within a physician office, Required -Knowledge and experience in Payor Authorization Requirements, Required -CPR Certification within the first year of hire -NHA or NCCT Medical Assistant Certification, Preferred
