We are looking for an experienced kitchen and bath designer to help support our department's rapid growth in business and to develop continued expansion.
POSITION: Kitchen and Bath Designer
DEPARTMENT: Kitchen
REPORTS TO: Senior Designer
HOURS: M-F, 7:30am -4:00pm with occasional evening appointments expected.
FLSA: Full-time, Hourly, Non- Exempt Position
WORK AUTHORIZATION: US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Meet with clients and contractors to determine their needs, preferences, and budget for kitchen design projects.* Develop initial design concepts based on client input, functional requirements, and aesthetic preferences.* Create floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings to visualize design ideas.* Designs to include 2020 or Sketch Up layouts and renderings and CAD Drawings.* In person meetings with customers, contractors, and other designers. Also communicating through email and phone calls.* Monitor progress on-site and make adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired outcome.* Develop project budgets and cost estimates based on design specifications and material selections.* Track expenses and manage project finances to stay within budget constraints.* Organization of project selections and details.* Communication with installers to ensure successful execution of projects.* Accurately placing orders, order tracking and management.* Maintain the cleanliness and layout of the showroom.* KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:* Proficient in design software (2020, Sketch Up or CAD).* Knowledge of Chief Architect Home Design Software* Competent in Microsoft Office* Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Competence in design-related math skills including reading a tape measure and scale ruler.* Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.* Collaboration skills - ability and desire to work well with others involved in all aspects of a project and in other areas of our company.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
* 1 year of experience in designing kitchens and baths.* 1 year of experience in selling cabinetry.* Professional Certifications and Accreditations are valued but not required.
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:
* This position has no supervisory functions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Primarily office work and showroom environment.
