FPM Group, a multi-disciplined engineering, architecture, and environmental science consulting firm established in 1968, has an exciting opportunity in our Bohemia, NY and Oneida, NY offices. Work closely with architects and engineers in the development of construction documents, from the first field visit through the successful completion of construction. This position will allow broad access to all aspects of the consulting experience and help develop a well-rounded skillset.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in formation and development of construction drawings and specifications for public and
- private clientele
- Perform fieldwork to investigate, measure, take photos, and document existing conditions
- Perform calculations, analyze data, and generate decision matrices to support design objectives
- Computer drafting and design using AutoCAD
- Client interaction and teamwork with other Project Team members
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or other related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in a consulting environment
- Experience with municipalities and other government agencies is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in AutoCAD and good experience with MS Office Suite
- Strong interest in detail development for a wide array of projects having challenging conditions
