Professional Sports Publications is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer to join a growing editorial department that produces both industry-focused marketing periodicals and sports publications. We’re looking for a team player who is eager to be fully involved in the development of new publications at the company. This is an entry-level/mid-level position.
The candidate must be proficient in:
- InDesign CS6
- Illustrator CS6
- Photoshop CS6
- Knowledge of fonts and CC a plus
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain brand image and standards from team to team
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to meet all project deadlines
- Work effectively with teammates
- Create compelling graphics, layout compositions, illustrations
- Editing copy, organizing and proofing layouts
- Build a publication from start to finish
- Must be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge and Adobe Acrobat
- Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrable abilities in typography, layout, composition and color.
- Relevant knowledge of print production
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal design, editorial and art teams.
- Aptitude and confidence to create and present layout design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with book production and prepress process
Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM + any additional hours that may be necessary to meet deadlines.
