Overview
We are looking for a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. This paid internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in the areas of digital marketing and content creation. The intern will work closely with the Marketing Specialist to support social media strategy, campaign execution, and community engagement across various platforms. The position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in social media, digital marketing, or brand communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Content Creation & Scheduling
- Assist in drafting engaging, on-brand content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn for the Corporate brand and various properties.
- Source and organize photo/video content from properties and internal teams.
- Help with planning and scheduling posts using content calendars and scheduling tools.
- Monitor social media accounts for comments, messages, and mentions.
- Assist in engaging with followers and fostering a positive online community.
- Track and summarize engagement trends.
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns across social platforms.
- Contribute to brainstorming and creative sessions for seasonal campaigns and resident engagement ideas.
- Assist with creating visual assets using Canva or other design tools.
- Help compile basic metrics and insights on post performance, engagement, and trends.
- Contribute to monthly marketing reports.
- Attend and observe internal marketing meetings.
- Assist with marketing-related errands, photo shoots, or events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Mostly desk work; may occasionally lift or carry light equipment (up to 25 pounds).
Vision:
Requires close vision and ability to work with screens for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment. Occasional local travel for events, errands, or content capture. Reliable transportation required.
Qualification
Years of Experience:
Some experience managing or creating content for social media (professional or personal/academic projects acceptable).
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Canva or basic graphic design tools
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong grammar and writing skills
- Interest in photography, video, graphic design, or real estate a plus
