Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Saint Paul United Methodist Church is located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. Our sanctuary is a renovated 1900 structure spanning an entire city block. A Bedient Opus 70 pipe organ made up of 47 stops, 59 ranks and 3063 pipes plays a vital part of worship and celebration in one of our Sunday morning services. We currently have one Sunday morning worship service and one Sunday evening service. There is a part-time accompanist/organist/music assistant. There are also paid section leaders and leaders for the Sunday evening service. Currently, we have a cancel choir, instrumentalists, ensembles and a 5-octave handbell choir. We host monthly music/art noon concerts and a variety of community musical performances each year.

We are seeking a full-time Director of Music and Worship to create a cohesive Worship Arts Team whereby all members are fully invested and present for one another so that we may share excitement in crafting creative worship experiences. Understanding of Wisdom Tradition/ Progressive Theology in order to select music which reinforces the worship theme of the day and theology is essential. Our Director will collaborate to express the theme in a variety of genres and styles to honor each of our worship services assuring that music will be of the highest integrity, regardless of style or idiom. Outstanding organ skills are preferred, but not an absolute.

Reports to Senior Pastor. Full-time

Salary commensurate with training, experience and skills. $50,000 - $75,000.
