Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator in the United States and Australia overseeing more than 25 entertainment venues, hotels, and educational venues across 11 different states.
We are currently looking for a: Raging Waters Los Angeles - Content Creator Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create social media content for Raging Waters Los Angeles social channels.
- Work with other Content team members and leaders to plan and develop new content ideas and find trends to integrate into content to support business goals.
- Film video content and edit as needed.
- Support Marketing team on major campaigns as needed including park opening, special events, group sales, and other important promotions.
- Provide exceptional, friendly guest service on social channels and in person with a high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.
- Assist with customer service concerns and complaints; escalate serious complaints to leadership, as needed.
- Follow up with customers by email or phone as needed.
- Maintain composure and a high degree of professionalism when handling and/or responding to negative feedback.
- Support the Marketing team by responding to incoming social media messages, calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner to ensure prompt response to all customers.
- Assist Sales and Marketing team to execute special events on select weekends and holidays.
- Communicate well with guests, fellow employees, and management.
- Perform in a positive, friendly, professional, and alert manner.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the Park and departmental procedures.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in both appearance and conduct while representing the park.
- All other duties assigned by leadership.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Currently majoring in (or graduated with) a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline preferred.
- At least six months of previous content creator or social media coordinator experience for at least one other brand entity.
- Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with California Child Labor Laws.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines, and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to write content in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Ability to directly engage with customers and other web media resources.
- Ability to effectively respond to negative online (or in-person) feedback without taking it personally or conveying negative emotion.
- Must possess technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
- Previous knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
- Good photography skills would be a plus.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more.
Working Conditions:
- This role will be based in an office setting with frequent interaction with other outdoor park locations.
- Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions.
- Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments.
