- Greets and assists library visitors; answers telephone, provides information
- Enter appropriate data into the computer system
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact and discretion
- Responsible for technology services, including keeping computers and peripherals functioning for use by the public.
- Responsible for the staff computer and network, including keeping computers, peripherals, and software functioning for use by the staff.
- Maintains an outreach program with other organizations to provide programming and promote the Library's services
- Creates appropriate and attractive displays to boost interest and circulation
- Make suggestions to the Library Director relative to the improvement of library services
- Monitors conditions and security of the Library.
- Assists with the memorial donation program
- Assists with the library's interlibrary loan program
- Assist in the processing of new materials
- Assists with circulation statistics
- Assists with recovering overdue materials
- Provide assistance or backup coverage to other employees as needed
