YOUR ROLE
The Mountain Studio Manager is the team and performance leader of the Bend, Oregon Mountain Studio. Ongoing responsibilities include driving sales, ensuring store profitability, and providing an exceptional experience that is true to the Stio® brand as customer acquisition is gained in this market. The MSM creates and meets budget objectives for both revenue and operating expenses and adjusts operating procedures and staffing to compensate for budget shifts. In managing the marketing and merchandising efforts, the MSM helps create strategies to engage the local community and welcome them into the Mountain Studio, partnering with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on those needs. In developing their team, the manager fosters a culture of trust, accountability, balance amongst the staff, ensures a strong working knowledge of Stio® products, exudes professionalism in their day to day, and guarantees best in class operations and service.
The MSM reports to the Retail Area Manager.
This role is performed in our Mountain Studio retail location. The Mountain Studio Manager must live within a reasonable commute of our Bend, Oregon Mountain Studio.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and execute an exceptional retail environment for our customers and communityInspire and lead team on the sales floor while working alongside them each dayDevelop your associate manager, full-time, part-time, and seasonal employeesForecast and manage the store budget, including revenue and operating expensesProactively implement plans to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual goalsImplement strategies to drive new customer acquisition and presence in a new marketPlan and execute visual merchandising and marketing plansServe as the liaison between your store team and corporate leadershipProactively manage schedule and availability to ensure leadership presenceCollaborate with Retail Marketing Activations Manager and to plan, support and execute local activations and marketing initiatives for the market
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE5+ years in retail leadership and/or operations requiredRetail leadership and/or management experience leading 2+ employees requiredExperience in building teams and connecting in new market communitiesCommitment to creating an inclusive and supportive space for every person who enters the Mountain StudioExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with teams at every level of seniority, and across the local communityExceptional customer experience, organizational and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal skills requiredBudget ownership experience required, additional forecasting experience preferredInventory management experience requiredProven experience in visual merchandising requiredHigh school equivalency or GED requiredBachelor's or associate degree preferredProficiency Microsoft Office required and Google Suite preferredCommitment to our Mission, Vision, and Values
