We are seeking a hands-on, strategic, and socially-savvy Director of Marketing & Brand Growth to help lead our company into its next phase of growth. We are a female-owned, female-led, and ethically manufactured athletic apparel brand that empowers women from all walks of life. Built on a foundation of storytelling, strength, and community, we are growing fast—and this role is key to helping us expand both our digital footprint and connection with our audience.
This is not a “sit in your corner office and direct” type of leadership role—we’re looking for someone who can develop big-picture strategy and also roll up their sleeves to execute, coach, and lead by example. You’ll oversee marketing campaigns, lead brand storytelling, manage external vendors and digital ad teams, and collaborate across departments to drive growth through email, paid media, social, and influencer/affiliate marketing.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Leadership & Strategy- Own and evolve the brand marketing strategy, aligning campaign planning with product drops, seasonal launches, and retention efforts.
- Lead a high-performing team across social media, e-commerce, affiliate/influencer marketing, and creative.
- Translate brand goals into tactical marketing roadmaps with measurable KPIs.
- Partner with leadership to ensure brand voice, values, and storytelling are consistent across all touchpoints.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and ongoing performance optimization based on analytics and strategic priorities.
- Provide creative feedback and coaching to social and content teams—helping good performers become great.
- Ensure all campaigns are rooted in community engagement and story-driven marketing.
- Collaborate on influencer and affiliate growth strategies, understanding their power and treating them as vital brand partners.
- Oversee external advertising and email/SMS partners, ensuring they are aligned with brand vision, pacing, and ROI targets.
- Manage weekly meetings and performance reviews with vendors, guiding strategy and pushing for results.
- Ensure digital media spend is optimized through thoughtful oversight—not micromanagement, but leadership.
- Maintain and lead the master content and marketing calendar across platforms (email, social, website, influencers).
- Coordinate cross-functional project timelines between internal teams and vendors.
- Guide the development and launch of integrated campaigns, ensuring on-time and on-brand execution.
Background:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with social media-first brands, preferably in DTC, fitness, fashion, or lifestyle.
- Comfortable working on-site in Sugar Land, TX
- A natural coach and mentor—you elevate those around you.
- Deep understanding of email marketing, paid media oversight, influencer management, and content strategy.
- Excellent communicator—clear, collaborative, and culturally aligned with a socially savvy team.
- Strong project management mindset: organized, deadline-driven, proactive.
- Experienced with platforms like Shopify, Klaviyo, Asana, Google Analytics, etc.
- Bonus: background or personal connection to fitness, strength training, or athletic lifestyle
