Associate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field Proficient in graphic software, preferably Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. Minimum intern experience in an architectural firm preferred Proficient in CAD software, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation; Revit experience preferred Ability to communicate through freehand sketching and illustration Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong work ethic Highly creative and collaborative Organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure Ability to multi-task projects and establish priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally Able to perform well in a fast-paced work environment Disciplined and driven to meet project deadlines Strong presentation skills Technically inclined towards construction methods and procedures Able to work with different personality types professionally Ability to work extended periods on the computer Ability to communicate with various consultants via telephone and computer Able to build and sustain client relationships Self-starter Ability to interpret directions and implement work promptly Analytical and problem-solving skills Team player Positive, service-oriented attitude towards the firm, employees, and clients ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Research and gather information for as-built drawings, reports, and other project documents Assist Project Architects and Managers in collecting data for zoning, building codes, materials, regulations, etc. Review contract requirements with Project Architects to understand deliverables for each contract phase Produce plans and graphic documents at every contract phase, including construction documents, diagrams, presentations, and studies Refine and detail designs to meet project requirements Gather and incorporate client feedback into design revisions Revise documents per markups, ensuring review and backchecking Compile submission packages according to contract requirements Prepare permit packages per AHJ requirements Prepare bid packages as specified Review and file RFIs and submittals Conduct site visits and prepare necessary documentation for field use Compile and file closeout documents Perform miscellaneous duties, including preparing meeting agendas, sign-in sheets, etc. Attend project and office meetings as requested and prepare minutes for review LOCATION: Honolulu, HI SALARY RANGE: $54,600 – $60,300 per year depending on experience Please apply directly online at: www.bowersandkubota.com Equal Opportunity Employer/Vets/Disabled 100% Employee Owned
