THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEThe Senior Economic Editor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:Improve the accessibility of our Economic and Strategic Research (ESR) group’s work for a range of audiences through editing and setting standards for drafting, editing, and proofreading materials for websites, print, electronic publications, and academic conferences/journals.Provide editorial support on all department publications.
Work with authors throughout the writing process to ensure clarity of writing and the accessibility of research outputs to a variety of audiences, ranging from non-technical audiences to other subject matter experts.
Provide tactical insight on creating marketing and communications material for internal employees, corporate clients, and company partners.
Ensure materials are clear, concise, and align with ESR research output and corporate guidelines.
Collaborate with economists to ensure department outputs accurately and effectively communicate key findings and takeaways.
Manage ESR publication pipeline and review processes, including coordination with internal teams and regulator. Provide recommendations to improve processes.
QualificationsTHE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMMinimum Required Experiences6 years of related experience editing technical content to make it accessible to a broad ranges of audiences
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
Demonstrated understanding of underlying economic principles and research methodologies.
Desired ExperiencesBachelor’s or master’s degree in English or JournalismCoursework in economics strongly preferred
Experience managing a publication process or working at a large financial institution strongly preferred
