This position is the primary academic and administrative leader for the library and archives, guiding a team of dedicated faculty and staff. This position is responsible for formulating and executing a forward-thinking strategy for the library and archives, aligning with modern expectations and innovations.

The dean is also a key member of the Council of Academic Deans (COAD), contributing to the University's broader goals of student success, academic excellence, and commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

Direct the development and execution of comprehensive library services that bolster teaching, research, and student engagement;Lead strategic, long-term, and day-to-day planning, including establishing new and updating existing goals, policies, and procedures for the library;Actively promote the library and archives as integral parts of the academic community;Collaborate with the advancement division to implement innovative fundraising initiatives to enhance library and archive resources;Advocate for and implement modern technologies, communication strategies, instructional methods, outreach activities, and information management and delivery services;Manage both faculty and staff, including recruitment, team-building, scholarship, and professional growth and development;Update and enhance, with innovation, the utilization, expansion, and engagement of library services and facilities;Engage in and support community outreach initiatives;Perform all other duties as assigned.Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required;Professional track record qualifying for appointment as an Associate Professor/Professor is required;Doctoral degree or a second Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred;A minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience in an academic library setting is required;Experience managing complex library budgets within a university setting is preferred.To apply for this position, please visit our Online Employment System at
