you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing the lives of people with cancer. By harnessing the power of four scientific platforms - Immuno-Oncology, Tumor Drivers and Resistance, DNA Damage Response and Antibody Drug Conjugates - and by championing the development of personalized combinations, AstraZeneca has the vision to redefine cancer treatment and one day eliminate cancer as a cause of death.Role Description:The Sr. Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager, Oncology will be responsible for identifying, planning/leading all congresses for LYNPARZA in coordination with the Global Congress Team, customer facing teams (Tier 2 and Tier 3 congresses) and other cross-functional partners. This individual will be the key point on the brand team for all LYNPARZA congresses, coordinating with brand marketing members across tumors and ensuring that all planning for congresses is done in timely and effective manner within the budget.This role will require ongoing coordination and effective collaboration with cross-functional partners, including the Merck LYNPARZA Alliance team, who have inputs into Congress Strategy and joint Alliance Assets. In the ever-evolving post-COVID landscape, this role will require the ability to successfully pivot and flex to deliver the optimal congress presence in in-person, hybrid, and/or virtual congress environments.Key AccountabilitiesServe as the key point on the US LYNPARZA marketing team for all oncology Tier I and II congresses, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and effective communication of plans across LYNPARZA indicationsAs the Brand lead for Global Tier I Congresses, represent US brand activities and strategy during Operating Committee meetings, ensuring assets and content reflect the needs of the global congress planPartner closely with other oncology franchises through the Global OBU Congress team on congress strategy, planning, and execution to ensure alignment across the portfolio, especially around presence at high priority congressesManage and execute overall congress budgets in alignment with brand strategy, including partner agency relationships, costs, and tactical development workflowsWork closely with various members of the marketing team to coordinate assets and content as needed to fit within the exhibit booth experience and layoutPossess strong leadership, business acumen, and ability to lead multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups (media team to identify/deploy media/digital tactics; key customer and regional marketing team to identify speakers and content for Brand-led exhibitor theaters; Field leadership to ensure OAS staffing)Provide support, including creating conference specific promotional materials with Alliance partners, for field representatives to leverage in local/regional exhibits and ensure compliant execution by reps at all showsEnsure Compliant execution in the event of Virtual Rep Led congress/conventions (Tier III)Work with Medical to identify key data presented at Tier I and Tier II congresses and help assess Marketing coverage for these conferences accordinglyMinimum qualificationsBachelor’s degreeMinimum 1-3 years of marketing/sales and/or extensive cross-functional project management experiencePreferred qualificationsMBA in relevant fieldIn-line U.S. Oncology sales/marketing experienceUnderstanding of U.S. Oncology landscapeExperience working in ‘commercial alliance/partnership’ environmentNext Steps – Apply today!To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please complete the full application on our website at your earliest convenience – it is the only way that our Recruiter and Hiring Manager can know that you feel well qualified for this opportunity.
