Under the supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager, responsible for the daily operation of computer servers and systems within the company networks. Responsible for maintaining, managing, and repairing a system's servers and helps in the design and analysis of cloud-based models and new systems. Assists the infrastructure team with making decisions regarding hardware or software purchases. Keeps systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades, patches and repairs. Provides recommendations towards server and system technology.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to plan and implement IT projects consistent with organizational objectivesDesign, implement, configure, monitor and maintain systems infrastructureProvide systems support with a variety of operating systemsInstall and configure server equipmentMaintain user accounts, performs password and identity managementMonitor and troubleshoot system performance, including capacity, storage planning, and database performancePerform system updates (including software updates and patches)Create and implement a backup and recovery policy, perform regular backup operations and define processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresCreate and maintain all server and system documentationRespond after hours for troubleshooting server issuesEnsure that the server environment, to include but not limited to, all servers, VMWare, and cloud environment are functioning properly with minimal downtime to end usersDevelop and monitor policies for the use of system resourcesMonitor and administer cloud-based and on-premises systems infrastructure to ensure optimal performanceTest release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibilityDevelop specifications, procedures and documentation for systems infrastructureResearch and recommend systems and hardware in accordance with organizational objectivesCoordinate with vendors for the installation and support of systemsProvide systems support for all software and hardware problems reported by usersTroubleshoot issues at multiple levels ranging from high-level server administration to desktop supportCreate technical support documentation and systems diagramsAssist with the corporation's annual meeting IT needsThis position will service all departments and subsidiariesOn-call availabilityOther duties as assignedDOYON LIMITED CORE COMPETENCIES:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalentTwo-year college degree in the field of computer and/or five years equivalent work experience.Minimum three years' experience with servers, systems, and cloud solutionsExpert knowledge of VMWareProven Microsoft Office365 administration skills including Exchange, SharePoint and othersHands-on technical troubleshooting capabilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionKnowledge of computing infrastructuresExceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilityPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Four-year degree in Computer Science or a related fieldRelated degree and/or industry certifications (MCSA, MCSE)Two years experience in a IT Cloud Administrator or IT Systems Administrator role

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. There is a 40-hour on-site work week with on-call availability. Some travel may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
