Job Description Summary:
This position works closely with HIT staff to design and implement new technology, maintain infrastructure, monitor performance, assists in troubleshooting applications and systems, and ensures security of the Logan Health data.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
Associates Degree in Computer Science.
Comparable work experience in a relevant field and certifications equivalent to Cisco CCNP in telecommunications.
Minimum of four (4) years’ enterprise class systems related experience in telecommunications required. Experience must include combination of deployment and support of telephone systems to include VOIP phones and/or cellular phones.
Must have an in depth understanding of Enterprise class infrastructure, fleet management, and cyber security required. Possess ability to effect change and transfer projects from implementation to support required.
Project management experience required.
Previous experience in a Telecom Analyst level position preferred.
Experience with Cisco phone systems and other telephony systems and solutions, including ACDs, PBX, call center, service provider RCF’s, POTs lines, PRI’s and unified solutions required.
Excellent customer service, dynamic problem solving and superior teamwork skills required.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Job Specific Duties:
Works in collaboration with assigned leadership and vendors in the scope and design of Enterprise cloud, local infrastructure, and application configuration according to required specifications and objectives.
Assists team members and IT/corporate service lines with technical challenges and technology adoption by delivering purpose designed solutions. Develops fleet controls, security processes and operational checklists that deliver, standardize and operationalize systems across Logan Health.
Participates in projects, maintains project timelines, and provides appropriate documentation. Documents functional requirements, as-built configuration and detailed specifications. Works in collaboration with SME’s in order to identify project scope, functional requirements, and timelines.
Exhibits excellent communication, follow up skills and communicates professionally and effectively with others.
Exhibits project management skills, understands and participates in planning, design and build, testing, end-user training, and cutover and go-live. Exhibits knowledge of work plans and manages tasks and timelines. Communicates project status and key issues ensuring all projects and reports are delivered on time, and thoroughly vetted. Participates in group projects as assigned.
Participates in the operational monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure and systems to meet applicable Federal and State regulations identified by Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) standards and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks. Maintains a knowledge base of current exploits and vulnerabilities.
Serves as a systems expert, assists with resolution of complex and/or escalated issues (Tier 3 support), and develops and/or implements solutions for complex system requirements. Provides deep domain knowledge of HIT hybrid cloud, vendor applications systems, fleet management and disaster recovery.
Assumes full ownership of all outcomes start to finish. Prioritizes task while utilizing appropriate critical decision-making skills.
Pursues opportunities for self-development and takes responsibility for ongoing enhancement of skills to keep up with industry changes. Stays current with industry trends as they relate to job responsibilities. Provides research on tools and methodologies for network infrastructure, segmentation, and cyber security.
Safeguards the security and privacy of patient and business confidential information by encrypting, segmenting and transmitting data through HIPAA compliant and industry best practice secure methodologies.
