Job Title: Director of Digital & Social Strategy

Job Reports To: Vice President, Marketing

Status: Exempt

The director of digital and social strategy will lead the overarching strategy and performance of the Nashville Predators social media platforms, website and mobile app. This role requires technical skills to create engaging content across social media and website channels. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Social Media Manager to ensure messaging aligns with the Nashville Predators brand.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

Create and execute digital and social media strategy, planning and project management of all digital activities across organizational objectives to accomplish the strategic priorities, mission and vision of the organization.Oversee the strategy, execution and reporting of nashvillepredators.com, PredsNHL social media, and the Nashville Predators app.Strategize and focus on elevating brand perception and affinity through social and digital channels.Produce regular reports and presentations on digital and social metrics.

Set goals, track, analyze and report performance, identifying and implementing recommendations for improvement and growth.

Collaborate with other departments including PR, content, creative services, video, sales, and corporate partnerships.Develop and implement the content and communication strategy through a digital and social centric lens for campaigns and programs.Provide leadership and manage digital and social teams and oversee day-to-day operations related to strategy and execution.Determine best practices for oversight of digital and social strategy operating procedures, content development and execution, planning and project management, including evaluation, quality assurance, and implementation of process changes as necessary.Collaborate with VP of Marketing to set current and long-term goals for internal team.Lead in concepting, developing, and executing engaging and high performing and cost-effective content for digital and social platforms.Maintain a deep understanding of digital and social media platforms, digital forecast and trends, utilizing research and data-based approach to identify key messages and audiences, and work consistently to form and amplify a consistent brand narrative.Manage external relations with key digital vendors.Work closely with Corporate Partnership department to identify asset values and opportunities for revenue generation.Oversee Social Media Manager, Social Media Coordinator, Digital Website Coordinator & Beat Writer

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, advertising, or similar field7+ years of work experience in marketing or digital strategy and analytics, or similarStrong leadership & communication skillsStrong idea generator, ability to think creatively and innovatively as a digital storyteller.Strong analytical and project management skillsStrategic mindset, with ability to make difficult, quick decisions.Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environmentKnowledge and experience helping to value and monetize digital and social content.Proven experience in website development using technologies and languages such as HTML, Java Script, JQuery, cascading style sheets (CSS), and server side includes.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, scripting, and web analyticsKnowledge of hockey/Nashville Predators, preferred.Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Ability to travel for team content coverage.Possess a valid Tennessee driver's license, a suitable driving history, be insurable by employer's insurance carrier and have reliable transportation.As a condition of employment, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including criminal history check, previous employment verification and character references.

Essential Physical Functions:

Physical activities require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, including sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, balancing and handling of materials.Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time and climb stairs.Ability to work in a cold environment.Must be willing to work in adverse conditions in outside positions when assigned.Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 lbs.
