Vice President Marketing

The Vice President, Marketing will support the mission of the Enterprise (CareQuest Institute and CareQuest Innovation Partners) and be responsible for advancing and managing the organization’s external image, outreach, and engagement through the areas of Brand Marketing, Content & Communications, and Digital & Social Media.
The VP, Marketing will be responsible for designing and implementing an inclusive, forward-thinking strategy to help lead the organization in its next phase of work to create an accessible, equitable, and integrated oral health system. This position will provide leadership and vision in how the organization best integrates its messaging to various audiences and creates clear, logical pathways for stakeholders across the health care landscape — all while staying consistent with the values of the organization. The VP, Marketing will be responsible for understanding the needs of various audiences, including the ability to scan both the organization and the surrounding community environments to position the Enterprise as a leader in its field. They will also deliver competitive market intelligence that support the design and implementation of essential marketing strategies and tactics.
The VP will play a key leadership role, serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and collaborate with other senior leaders to develop long-range strategic plans, programs, policies, and product offerings to realize the strategic vision and mission of the Enterprise. They will also lead and manage a marketing team that provides strategic guidance and support across the Enterprise.
Additionally, this role will work across the Enterprise to ensure the brand is optimized for leadership and awareness across the health care landscape.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership and execution of the branding, promotion, communications, and advertising functions associated with all priorities.
- Oversee deployment and execution of content strategy to achieve Enterprise business goals.
- Develop and communicate the Enterprise’s unique value proposition to stakeholders, including grantees, strategic partners, providers, policymakers, and other members of the oral health community.
- Own the Enterprise’s innovative and creative digital marketing initiatives across all functions and platforms, including but not limited to SEO, web, mobile and social media.
- Develop integrated and cohesive marketing plans and strategies to achieve business goals.
- Define, measure, and track marketing metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of initiatives and make data-driven decisions for optimization.
- Determine the appropriate marketing mix between advertising, market research, and other initiatives; collaborate across departments to prioritize and resource marketing initiatives.
- Partner closely with the VP, Public Affairs on internal and corporate communications and public relations.
- Maintain consistent and professional brand identity throughout the Enterprise in collaboration with the marketing team, graphic designers, agencies, and consultants.
- Conduct and provide research and go-to market strategies for new audiences, products, and markets.
- Coordinate the design, production, and distribution of collateral materials.
- Identify opportunities for strategic relationships with external vendor partners (e.g., advertising agency, design firms, and other strategic partners to increase reach and effectiveness).
- Oversee the department’s budget and fiscal responsibilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
- A seasoned business professional with 10 + years’ work experience developing and executing integrated marketing and communications programs.
- Management/supervisory experience, 10+ years.
- knowledge of the dental services industry and health care industry highly desirable.
- Expert digital knowledge, including web, mobile, and social media; experience working in digital development and applying digital best practices.
- Ability to understand, create, and articulate a compelling value proposition for the appropriate products and services that meet business goals of key customers.
- Previous experience in leading a marketing and/or communications function, including experience with branding, advertising, and media.
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies for new businesses, products, and markets.
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to both obtain and effectively leverage market research.
- Strong general business acumen.
- Ability to develop and lead strategic marketing initiatives by effectively navigating corporate-wide leadership buy-in and participation.
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of people within the organization in a positive and influential manner.
- Experienced in state-of-the-art marketing methods and technologies, including web-based tools and social media.
- Experienced strategist and a tactician that can roll up their sleeves and execute.
- Ability to effortlessly develop relationships with both internal and external teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify top talent as well as develop and lead a diverse and sophisticated marketing team.
- Ability to lead a remote team.
- Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong oral and presentation skills honed for executive stakeholders.
- Strong leadership/ and influencer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
