This role offers a chance to substantially impact one of the world's largest CP markets and drive innovation in one of FMC's strongest markets.As the Marketing Director, you will lead a diverse team of portfolio leaders, crop managers, marketing communication experts, and marketing insights professionals. Your focus will be on driving demand generation through strategic marketing initiatives and contributing to the growth aspirations of the US Crop business.As a key member of the US Leadership Team, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic, commercial, and financial acumen to enhance sustainable business performance while taking a "hands-on" approach in driving change for tangible results.Responsibilities:Portfolio ManagementLead the US team of portfolio managers and their respective product managers to drive growth and profitability of the US Crop business through key marketing processes and initiatives, which include portfolio strategy and positioning, product planning, pricing, S&OP, and product stewardship.Drive annual brand operating plan exercises.Direct commercial teams in the new product development process, stage gate review forum, and project & pipeline management.Partner closely with our research and development team to ensure that our innovation investments are the right ones and align to our strategy.Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on commercial development efforts, including negotiations with potential technical and commercial alliance or joint venture partners.

Marketing LeadershipLead marketing communications to ensure the development of integrated marketing communications plans to deliver key value messages to targeted groups.Grow, coach, and develop talent to maximize motivation and broaden the marketing team's skill set.Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to ensure maximum portfolio penetration in the marketplace.Manage the marketing budget.Create a robust process to collect marketing intelligence, empowering the broader organization to make decisions and anticipate trends based on data and insights.Develop, implement, and manage marketing programs for growers, retailers, and distributors.

Strategic PlanningLead the marketing team in developing the business unit's long-range plan and budget.Develop and execute the annual strategic marketing plan. Align all appropriate functional areas to maximize the defined results.Define and execute the growth strategy via organic growth, partnerships, and M&A in close collaboration with the Business Development Director and operationalize for maximum ROI.Develop strategies and initiatives to combine products (synthetic and biologicals), digital platforms, services, and other technologies into a compelling offer for target customer groups.Align country strategic plans to deliver global vision and financial targets.

Education:A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.An MBA in marketing or related fields is an asset.

Experience:15+ years of sales & marketing experience with 10 + years in agriculture or related fields.Managerial experience leading teams and business leaders.Knowledge of the US crop protection business, including key distributors and retailers is an asset.A clear understanding of S&OP and strong analytical skills to support forecasting & product modeling.Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to sort through data and information, identify themes, and make strategic recommendations.Strong drive for delivering results with a bias for action.Ability to motivate, lead, and manage people.Strong financial background.
