This individual is responsible for developing and executing the Tower Sealants marketing and merchandising plans, customer development, and new product launches, collecting and analyzing sales data, and distributing data to other functional groups within the organization and customers when applicable.

The position will assist the VP of Sales & Marketing, Sales Director, SVP, and other functional team members in many aspects of the effort behind the private label product development process, customer pricing, product placement, and product promotion and executing the day-to-day activities to meet stated objectives and plans.

The Marketing/Product Manager will help identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term sales. Will directly support the Tower manufacturers’ rep sales team to ensure consistent message that allows the team profitable growth and meet sales objectives.

This position has the career path to become Tower’s Sales & Marketing Director / VP.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with Vice President of Marketing to establish new marketing programs, collateral, and associated productsManage the existing marketing programs to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectivesCommunicate the value proposition of Tower products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.Work with customers to understand their needs and how to incorporate them into our programs.DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Tower’s products in the marketSales enablement: Communicate the products' value proposition to the sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process.Product launch – organize new product releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the planMarket intelligence – be the expert on your category, customers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and the Tower advantages.Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your productsCollaborates to develop improvement in market share of all product linesSupport for manufacturer’s rep agenciesProvide on-site training product knowledge classes to educate customer store associates, sales teams, and end-users on all aspects of sealants, programs, and products.Educates manufacturer’s rep team and customer service teams by establishing education updates for new and existing products, promotional activities, improved presentation strategies, and competitive offsetsParticipate in company and customer trade shows.REPORTING:

The position reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing

TRAVEL:

As high as 50%Must have or obtain a valid passportTERRITORY/REGION:

US, Canada, Mexico

QUALIFICATIONS:

A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred, or at least five (5) years of related experience or training in the professional paint sector or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information. Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team.Experience developing marketing and sales strategies.Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to read and interpret financial statements and data, and a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite are required.This is a role for a proactive self-starter. The candidate must possess excellent creative, analytical, and computer skills. The candidate must also demonstrate strong communication skills and organizational traits.The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines is key.This multi-faceted, hands-on position requires the skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and more.A team player who can work in a fast-paced environment shows a flexible attitude and wants to develop and grow professionally with our organization.
