The Opportunity

Reporting to

VP, Communications and Development , the

Manager, Marketing and Communications

is an exciting opportunity to help build the Marketing, Communications and Development programs at Hively.

What you will do:Play a key role in forming the first Communications, Marketing and Development department in the organizationLead and execute integrated marketing communications strategy in collaboration with team membersWork cross functionally with programs teams to increase brand awareness and visibility, events and partnershipsPartner closely with Senior Communications Coordinator to elevate presence in social media channelsAct as a creativity agent with internal and external stakeholders, providing ideas and solutions to communications and marketing needs and opportunitiesManage, Execute and support department's projects and organizational initiatives with an eye on impact, results, learning and growthSupport internal communications needsEvents assistance and coordination in Alameda County as neededBe part of grants research and applications efforts on behalf of the organizationWhat you should bring:

Bachelor degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related fieldMission-driven marketerOutstanding writing, speaking and relationship building skills3+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy and execution and media outreach1+ year of people management experienceKnowledge of CRMs (SalesForce, Constant Contact) and social media content management platformsKnowledgeable in content marketing willing to experiment, try new ideas out to connect and engage with different audiencesExperience working with underserved and underrepresented communitiesUnderstanding and experience working with traditional media and influencersBilingual in English and at least one of the following languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu or Farsi. Able to write, read and speak both languages fluentlyPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

$80,000 - $85,000 a year

Salary ranges are based on industry data, and final employment offer will be determined based upon factors including but not limited to an applicant's experience, specialized skills, and internal alignment.
