The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA has an immediate need for a Solutions Architect/Technical Writer to support both active contracts and business development opportunities.

ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content across a range of potential customers. As a key member of each proposal team, you will lead and/or support the planning and development of proposal win themes and identification of discriminators, benefits, and key features of solutions on proposals. Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Technical, Management, and past performance sections for a variety of proposals. Work with capture team and Subject Matter Experts and operations staff to collect information and develop winning responses to federal government solicitations. Analyze solicitation requirements and participate in solution development meetings, and support development of materials and scripts to support proposals with oral components. Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and proposal personnel to ensure accuracy. Participate in color team reviews.

QualificationsRequired:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of hands-on federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience (RFIs, RFPs, etc.)

Experience as a Volume Lead or Lead Technical Proposal Writer.

Experience writing Technical, Management and/or other proposal volumes in support of government customers

U.S. Citizenship required

Desired:

Experience supporting or familiarity with task order proposal competitions under multiple award contract IDIQs or BPAs

Experience supporting proposal responses for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, DARPA, Department of Homeland Security and/or Department of Commerce

Experience as proposal manager
