Job Description
The production expeditor manages the flow of materials and work between departments, ensuring that production orders are completed on time. They work with production planners, supervisors, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule production activities. Their responsibilities include:Monitoring schedules: Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedulesPrioritizing orders: Adjust schedules to meet changing demands and prioritize urgent ordersTracking inventory: Ensure that materials and supplies are available when needed and minimize production delayssolving problems: Take action to solve problems and fulfill rush ordersComposing reports: Compile reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problemsQualifications
Strong Computer Skills (LN experience a +)Self-Starter; ability to work independently and stay on taskHigh School graduatePrevious experience helpful, but not required
