Position Overview:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound is seeking a motivated, creative, and analytical individual to join our team as a Digital Marketing Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation & management, digital marketing, and website management while supporting our mission of fostering mentorship relationships for youth in our community.

Responsibilities:Social Media Copywriting: Write compelling and engaging social media copy for various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, to promote events, programs, success stories, and organizational updates.Video Creation: Record and edit videos to create impactful content for social media channels, incorporating storytelling elements and visual appeal to effectively communicate Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound's mission and initiatives.Content Alignment: Learn to align social media and digital content with business objectives and organizational goals, working closely with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure messaging consistency and effectiveness.Community Engagement: Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community and dialogue on social media platforms.Digital Marketing Support: Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound programs and events.Website Updates & Optimization: Update content and support content optimization on the organization's WordPress website, including event listings, blog posts, and other relevant information.Analytics and Reporting: Learn to monitor and analyze social media metrics and website traffic data to track progress, identify trends, and make recommendations for optimization.Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, contract graphic designer, and other team members to brainstorm ideas, develop content calendars, and support digital marketing initiatives.Research: Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to inform strategy and content development.JEDI: Hold yourself to a high standard of communications and marketing quality as it relates to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, etc.).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.Proficiency in social media platforms and familiarity with or willingness to learn social media management tools.Knowledge of digital marketing principles and practices.Familiarity with WordPress or willingness to learn.Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp) or willingness to learn.Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Passion for youth empowerment and commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound's mission.Desired Qualifications:
