We are hiring a Manufacturing Expeditor in Pomona, CA, to work for the leading designer and manufacturer of custom machinery to produce corn and flour tortillas.
Hours: 1st Shift, 6 am-2:30 pm
Pay: $19-$20 per hour
The Manufacturing Expeditor will be responsible for moving parts from one department to another, in accordance with the "Traveler" instruction, utilizing material handling equipment including forklifts. Collect all job orders that are tracked and organized with assigned parts on the production floor and verify information for accuracy.
Essential Functions:
Directly move parts to each department for completion ensuring the processing of the proper paperwork.Daily rounds begin with delivering parts to Sheet Metal, CNC, Welding, Detailing, and Assembly.Daily collect all job orders on the production floor and verify information for accuracy.Continually check each department throughout the day for completion.Upon completion of detailing, parts are moved to the next areas including oven, sheeter, press, and Customer Service.Coordinate the travelers and report errors to the Production Supervisor.Qualifications:
Must have 3 years of related experience and be able to operate a forklift.High school diploma or equivalent.Excellent attention to detail and follow-through on all work.Perform work independently and as part of a team.Capable of frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
