of Sacred Heart education, Stone Ridge inspires young women to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, intellect, community, social action, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.The Brand and Design Lead will be responsible for:Brand Strategy and ExecutionServing as the strategy lead for developing and maintaining brand consistency across all print, digital, and environmental media produced by and for the School.Serving as a strategic partner to the Director of Marketing and Communications and branding consultants on the school rebranding project. Developing and executing creative assets needed for the roll-out of the new brand across campus. Developing and presenting training materials to educate the School community on elements and usage of updated visual identity.Providing divisions and offices with the tools needed to ensure all creative communications reflect the brand identity and messaging of the School, including branded Canva templates and up-to-date guidelines and assets for logos, fonts, colors, and visual identity usage.Serving as a lead resource for all School employees on effectively using the brand and visual identity. Reviewing and providing advice on materials developed by other offices to ensure brand consistency and standards.Serving as the primary point of contact and coordination for physical banners and digital signage on campus to maintain consistent visual identity. Cataloging all existing banners, developing a database of signage specs and locations, and working with School partners to develop a strategic calendar for banner changes in relation to school events and priorities. Designing and ordering updated banners and signage as needed.Graphic DesignDesigning high-quality creative materials, and managing print and production processes, within established timelines and budget, and meeting the objectives of School leadership, partners, and the MarComm team.Serving as the lead for graphic design and printing of the Stone Ridge Magazine, ensuring a timely and consistently high-quality print and digital product.Developing and maintaining relationships with print vendors and ensuring competitive pricing and high quality of printed materials.Mentoring student interns in learning principles of graphic design, printing, and brand management as part of a formalized internship program.Photography ManagementDeveloping strategy, taxonomy, and workflows for a new digital asset management system, and leading execution of tagging, organizing, and sharing artwork, photography, and creative files for the MarComm team and all School partners. Serving as the primary point of contact for other system users (employees, parents, students, and alumnae).Developing and maintaining a comprehensive photo and video content production calendar for each academic year.Serving as the central point of contact for photography freelancers.Selecting, editing, and uploading photos for Instagram and Facebook posts to the social media management system according to the monthly calendar developed by the team.Photographing selected School events, including some on nights and weekends.Performing other duties as assignedRequirements/qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, arts, communication or a related field, and at least 3 years of related work experienceStrong team, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated success in working within creative teams to produce excellent resultsExperience in branding and visual identity development and management, including understanding of logo signature systemsExperience in graphic design and skills in publication development and direction, including managing production schedules and the pre-press processCommitment to professional development and staying on top of advances in graphic design trends and marketing best practicesAdvanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite and up-to-date knowledge of programs and usageExperience working with project management systems to manage design workflowProficiency in the following software programs: Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, CanvaAbility to meet deadlines and manage numerous projects simultaneously in fast-paced environmentStrong detail orientation with commitment to accuracy and the pursuit of excellenceAbility to work under pressurePreferred but not required skills:Experience working in education, especially Catholic or Independent schoolsExperience with digital photographyWeb design skills (knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS)Knowledge of and experience with accessibility guidelines for digital and print designThis position is a 12-month position.
