JOB SUMMARY:

The Sportsbook Ticket Writer is the face of our retail operation. By providing a high level of customer service to both regulars and "novice bettors", they will ensure everyone is made to feel welcome at our sports book(s). As an expert in our menu of sports betting options, the Ticket Writer will help advise and answer customer questions to help them make an informed, responsible decision with their sports wagering.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide a high level of customer service to anyone who comes into our sportsbooksAdhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company and the regulatory gaming agencyAnswer all customer questions to the best of your knowledge or seek to find out the answer in a timely mannerTry to deescalate customer disputes/complaints and escalate to direct supervisor when neededCommunicate and promote our menu of sports betting options to customersAct in a professional manner, representing William Hill with the highest of standardsEnsure that all necessary compliance (Title 31) paperwork/documentation is filled out according to company policy and gaming control board standardsMay perform additional duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The ability to sit/stand for extended periods at a timeMust have basic computer knowledge (Email, MS Excel, internet, etc.)H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredMust be 21 years of age or olderSuccessfully pass a drug screen, background check, and obtain a gaming licenseMust have 1+ years of cash handling experienceHigh level of customer serviceAbility to work a flexible schedule, including so nights, weekends, and holidays is preferredPresent yourself in a professional mannerStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to do simple mathUnderstanding and a responsibility to adhere to all compliance requirements set for by the company and regulatory agenciesCOMPETENCIES:

Prior work experience in a sports book is highly preferredAbility to motivate, lead, and mentor staff membersEffective communication skills, both written and verbalProfessional appearance and demeanorSelf-starter attitude who shows initiativeCommitted to delivering an elevated level of customer servicePHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift, pull or push 25 lbs.Must be able write for extended periods of time.Must be able to twist, bend or reach with no significant boundaries.

This position may be exposed to a smoke-filled environment
