Committed to excellence, we have ambitious 5-year goals and are actively seeking a highly motivated and capable Director of Marketing & Sales to join our team in Houston, TX. This full-time position reports directly to a Managing Partner and will play a pivotal role in planning and execution of revenue generation.We Need Your Drive and PrecisionAre you a detail-oriented, tenacious, and service-minded business development and marketing leader with experience in the legal and/or professional services industry?As our ideal candidate, you possess leadership experience in business development, a firm grasp of revenue generation in a legal or services firm, and a strategic mindset that will aide in executing sales and marketing processes that align with the firm’s overall goals. You will have experience leading a team of sales and content creators, along with the ability to interact with individuals out in the field and in the boardroom – adjusting your approach to each situation. You will thrive in a dynamic, small office environment in downtown Houston, where you will be able to work a hybrid schedule (one day remote per week) following the completion of a successful 90-day onboarding process.This role will require travel up to 20% of the time.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and LeadershipDevelop, execute, and manage comprehensive sales and marketing strategies along with metric-driven planning capabilities that align with the firm’s business goals.

Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends.

Create and manage the Sales and Marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.

Client Acquisition and RetentionDesign, implement and manage client acquisition strategies to generate new business leads and expand the client base.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, prospects, industry experts, and referral sources.

Develop processes and collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.

Oversee client retention programs and initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

Brand Management and CommunicationsEnhance the firm’s brand presence and reputation through targeted marketing campaigns, public relations efforts and thought leadership.

Oversee and manage the creation of marketing materials, including but not limited to presentations, advertisements, webinars, newsletters, and digital content.

Manage the firm’s website, social media channels and online presence.

Sales & Marketing Enablement and SupportCollaborate with firm partners and practice leads to develop, manage, and support sales initiatives.

Provide training and resources to partners and attorneys on effective business development.

Actively pursue revenue generation – working independently and with your team to drive qualified leads and sales.

Monitor and report on sales and marketing performance by tracking KPIs.

Lead and mentor the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Event Planning and ManagementProvide rationalization for hosting, sponsorship and attendance at sales and marketing events.

Plan and execute sales and marketing events including seminars, webinars, conferences, and networking events.

Maintain data and report on performance and outcomes of all sales and marketing events.

Coordinate sponsorships and participation in industry events.

Position RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

8+ years of sales and marketing experience in the legal industry or professional services

3+ years of leadership of the Sales and Marketing division of a services organization with a focus on the Oil & Gas industryProven track record of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies

Expertise in digital marketing tools and CRM systems

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Strong organizational skills, proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, analyze, organize, attention to detail, and follow through

Ability to deliver and receive feedback professionally

Commitment to excellent client and employee service

Software Application ExperienceExperience with HubSpot is preferred

Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, specifically MS Excel
