OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
UX / UI Developer
to join our client’s team in Woodlawn, MD. In this role, you will derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing. This direct-hire role is located in
Woodlawn, MD , and requires onsite presence at least 2 days a week.
Candidates must live within 2 hours of the client-site.
A digital portfolio of design work is required to be considered for this job.
Per our client contract, candidates must be
U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders , eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The candidate must be willing to wait for the 4-to-6-week clearance process.
Responsibilities
Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing
Interact on a daily basis with development team on the creation of new web components for the design system
Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders
Creation of anatomy diagrams for new UI elements (in the form of web components)
Support the creation and maintenance for design toolkits in the latest design tools (Figma, Axure 10, XD, etc.) used by the UX Design Team
Support the continuation of design token integration with the design system
Facilitate customer discovery sessions
Create and refine screen prototypes
Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
AND
8 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
8+ years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations
4+ years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
2+ years of front-end development of applications utilizing HTML/CSS/JavaScript
Experience and proficiency with the following:
Using Axure RP prototyping software (preferably Axure 10)
Figma prototyping software
Supporting the creation and/or maintenance of a design system
Working with design tokens
StencilJS and/or web component creation
Git/GitHub for version control and repo management
Designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings
Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
Agile/Scrum methodology
Prior experience supporting government agencies
Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly).
