This position is under the Superintendent's office and will report to the Executive Director for the Indian River Education Fund.
Description:Ability to identify and develop viable proposals for external funding of programs which addresseducational priorities and goals. Knowledge of grant writing practices and procedures. Skill inresearch, synthesis of information, writing and editing to develop successful proposals forexternal funding sources/grants. Ability to manage projects including developing/administeringbudgets. Skill in planning, organizing, and presenting information in a public forum. Knowledgeof federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and School board policies applicable toassigned responsibilities. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to usetechnology to support assigned duties. Technical knowledge specific to assigned area. Ability towork cooperatively with others. Knowledge of Florida Educator Accomplished Practices andTeacher Competencies.
Job Summary:To provide leadership, supervision and assistance in the development, interpretationand evaluation of supplemental grants and external funding sources to further supportthe District's Strategic Plan and educational priorities.
Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in education, management,or public administration.2. Valid Florida certification in an appropriate area.3. Five (5) years successful experience in education and/or grant writing/grantdevelopment.4. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Selection Procedure: Professional/Technical. Pay Grade A. Two hundred fifty days worked per year (12 months). FLSA Exempt.
