Speaking of team, we are a lean, entrepreneurial, flexible, and swiftly moving group of passionate dog parents.JOB DESCRIPTION:The Marketing Director oversees the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive consumer engagement, and support sales goals. This role requires strategic thinking, creative innovation, and efficient execution to ensure the brand's positioning and activation plan aligns with business objectives and resonates with target audiences.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement strategic integrated omnichannel marketing plans aligned with overall company objectives and brand positioning.Define target consumer segments and create tailored retail and digital marketing strategies to engage and convert them effectively.Maintain the brand identity, including brand and product positioning, messaging, and visual guidelines.Build brand strategies that foster consumer engagement, loyalty, and advocacy through targeted marketing initiatives, CRM programs, and brand experiences.Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and implement innovative strategies.Develop product marketing strategies to drive awareness, trial, and adoption of new and existing products.Coordinate product launches and promotions across various channels, including retail, digital, and experiential marketing.Oversee the development of marketing collateral, packaging designs, and brand assets to ensure consistency and alignment with brand values.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, ecomm, analytics and sales, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.Analyze campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results and ROI.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience (10+ years) in brand marketing within the CPG industry, with a track record of driving successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.Experience working closely with agency partners to plan, execute and measure retail and digital marketing campaigns.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable marketing strategies.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and sell ideas to internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.Strong understanding of retail and digital marketing channels, performance marketing tactics, and emerging trends in consumer behavior.Hands-on creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a drive for continuous improvement.Relentless curiosity and critical thinking: able to adapt to a rapidly changing landscape, routinely seeking out ideas for new approaches within existing and new channelsAptitude for testing combined with demonstrated rigor around testing methodology, objective setting, and KPI trackingA bootstrapped, thrifty mindset to spending and executing, where optimizing performance and maximizing returns are a constant filter for prioritization
