The Human Resources Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Risk Management Program Manager.The Risk Management Program Manager (Program Manager), reporting to the Deputy Director of Human Resources/ Risk Manager, will oversee the following three programs:- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title I workplace accommodations program for employees and job candidates with disabilities.- Leaves of Absence program for managing and monitoring the administration of claims for leave of absence.- Workers' Compensation Program.The Program Manager will direct the work of the staff in these units and support the team in the fulfillment of their duties in these program areas including their communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel, lawyers, and vendors. This position also receives a 5% management differential (already reflected in the salary) as the Program Manager assists the Deputy Director of Human Resources/ Risk Manager with a wide variety of work related to insurance for the County.The ideal candidate to work in this fast-paced division must be a superior problem solver, listener, and communicator who is persuasive, calm, and tactful with others in stressful situations. Applications must be received by the Human Resources Department before midnight on the final filing date.Job RequirementsAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.- A typical way to qualify is three years of progressively responsible professional-level experience in the field of Human Resources within a public-sector environment, specifically regarding ADA in general and Title I specifically, Leave of Absence, Workers' Compensation, and insurance policies.- Experience should also include at least one year performing supervisory duties.
