Vitalant is seeking a results-driven, customer-focused and business-minded Communication Manager to play a vital role in our community while significantly contributing to our life saving mission.

Your impact as a Communication Manager is vital.

You will contribute to Vitalant’ s life-saving mission by overseeing and coordinating media, public relations, crisis communications, government affairs, special event planning, and volunteer management all aimed at achieving the organizations annual collection goals.

Develops, executes and measure the effectiveness of strategic public relations and special events to support the company’s collection goals.Oversee the communication in the assigned region, providing feedback as a part of the national communications strategy.Cultivate and nurture relationships with the media to facilitate organization’s media and public relations objectives.Serve as a primary spokesperson and coordinate media contact and communications with other spokespersons in the organization as appropriate.Recruit, develop and leverage community-based committees and contacts to assist with awareness, networking, outreach and collaboration.Manage events for donor and coordinator recognition, as well as specials blood donation events.Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experienceBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing preferredFour years related experience requiredMedia Relations Experience requiredTwo years of supervisory experience preferredValid in-state driver’s license
